Completely Unbiased Movie Reviews!

Welcome to Filmske.com!

Hi there! I’m sort of new to website building, but I thought I’d start my first site about a topic that I’m really into, which is movies. I have been crazy about movies for over 10 years now, and I always make sure to watch almost everything that releases. Something that I’ve gotten used to over the years is really breaking movies down with my friends. This is why me and some of my buddies are going to review just some of our favorite movies on here. We won’t do too many, just the handful that stands out to us.

This is a review by my buddy Ronny.

A little about Ronny: He currently works at Best Buy in Staten Island, NY as a sales manager, but on his down time from selling electronics to his customers, he loves to watch and critique movies.

A Bronx Tale:

This has to be my all time favorite movie. Before you think I’m nuts, I know the main actor was not that great of an actor, but the movie itself was beautiful. Maybe it’s because I grew up in an urban neighborhood myself, that I can really relate to the plot. The way Calojero had to face his conflict of being attracted to a black girl as an Italian in his neighborhood was brilliant, and it’s something that so many people go through even today.

The simplicity of the “mobster” life depicted in A Bronx Tale also really drew me in. They didn’t go too in depth about the mafia life, but just enough to show you how it really was.

Here’s a review by my buddy Adam, he works at a place where you can sell gold in NYC called Global Gold and Silver. He just started REALLY getting into movies in the last few years, but hes pretty passionate about it.

The Shawshank Redemption:

I know it isn’t a surprise that I chose this movie because The Shawshank Redemption is actually considered to be ranked as one of the best movies ever made, and is actually number 1 on IMDb.com’s top movies list.

This movie is about a banker that gets framed for murdering his wife and her lover. With Morgan Freeman as the co-main actor, how could this movie not be good? It’s a little on the long side, but this story of a good guy surviving in prison is really suspenseful. Everybody likes a good prison break film!

I don’t want to spoil anything for any of you that haven’t seen the movie yet, but the way Andy Duphrane planned out his escape was nothing short of brilliant, and it was depicted very well in the movie.
